The Essential Health Checklist for Every Doctor
Doctors, are you ready to level up how you connect with patients and improve outcomes? El Mag Insurance’s Eric Salinas has crafted a helpful guide to help medical professionals create a simple yet powerful health checklist tailored for real-world use. This approach isn’t just about ticking boxes—it’s about empowering your patients and helping them take ownership of their health journey.
Start with the essentials: annual checkups, vitals, and routine screenings. Then, go a step further by including easy-to-follow lifestyle guidance—think nutrition, exercise, hydration, and better sleep habits. Want to take it even further? Tailor the checklist to specific needs like chronic conditions, family medical history, or stress-related factors.
Distribute it digitally or keep it handy in your office—it’s about making it easy and accessible. Whether you’re a primary care physician or a specialist, this kind of tool helps streamline visits and fosters better doctor-patient conversations.
Eric’s experience blending healthcare planning with insurance insights means this checklist also bridges the gap between care and coverage—providing a practical, proactive path forward. Check out the article to see examples, grab your copy, and explore how to make it your own.

Common Reasons Car Insurance Claims Are Denied
You pay for insurance to be protected—but did you know that claims are sometimes denied for reasons that are avoidable?
At Western Republic Insurance Services, we believe in helping you understand your policy before you need to file a claim. Below are a few common reasons claims may be denied, and how to avoid them:
1. Not reporting damage or an accident promptly.
Delays in notifying your insurance provider after an incident can raise red flags or even void your claim. Report as soon as possible, even if you’re unsure about the severity.
2. Failing to update your policy after a life change.
Big changes—like getting married, moving, or switching vehicles—can affect your coverage. If your policy doesn’t reflect your current situation, you might not be fully protected.
3. Driving under the influence or breaking laws.
Insurance companies may deny claims if the driver was involved in illegal activity during the incident. Keeping a clean driving record isn’t just about safety—it also protects your eligibility.
4. Not having the right coverage.
One of the most common issues is assuming you’re covered when you’re not. Liability-only policies, for example, won’t pay for your own vehicle damage.
5. Not reviewing your policy regularly.
Coverage that was right last year might not be right today. Life moves fast—let us help you keep your protection current.
Need help reviewing or updating your policy?
Give us a call today. We’re here to ensure you’re fully covered before the unexpected happens.
